HO - Business Intelligence Executive
Job Objectives
- Analyze management and operational requirements of business users.
- Transform business requirements into Business Intelligence (BI) solutions to enhance the Bank’s management, monitoring, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and quality of data and reports within the BI system.
Job Description
Business Requirement Analysis and Objective Definition
- Work with business units to identify business objectives, data requirements, and user processing needs.
- Analyze reporting, monitoring, and management needs in areas such as business, finance, products, risk, and operations.
- Collect, clarify, and standardize business requirements.
Business Requirement Modeling into BI Solutions
- Analyze and model user requirements into appropriate Business Intelligence solutions.
- Prepare business documentation, data requirements, and processing logic for handover to:
- Data / ETL teams
- MIS / Reporting teams
- Advise on data structures such as dimensions, measures, data marts, bus matrix, etc., to support reporting system development.
Data Validation and Quality Control
- Develop or advise on processes to validate data accuracy, consistency, and reasonableness.
- Perform initial data quality validation before official deployment.
- Control and reconcile the accuracy of figures in BI reports according to defined schedules.
BI Report Design, Management, and Deployment
- Analyze, model, and design BI reports and dashboards suitable for different user groups.
- Develop deployment plans including scope, priorities, roadmap, and timelines.
- Monitor progress and participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure BI systems meet business requirements.
Knowledge Transfer and User Support
- Conduct handover and user training for BI reporting systems.
- Coordinate with stakeholders during system operation, enhancement, and expansion.
Job Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance and Banking, Business Administration, Management Information Systems (MIS), or related fields.
Knowledge and Professional Expertise
- Knowledge of banking operations, management, and governance.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial, business, and management reports.
- Understanding of BI database structures and data models, including:
- Dimensions and Measures
- Data Matrix and Bus Matrix
- Data Mart and Data Warehouse
Skills
- English proficiency for reading technical documents and effective communication.
- Proficiency in Power BI, SQL, Tableau, and data analytics tools.
- Strong skills in report and dashboard design and presentation.
- Ability to interview users, ask relevant questions, and clarify requirements.
- Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in teams, with good negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
Experience
- Minimum one year of working experience in the banking sector (mandatory).
- Experience in data analysis, BI reporting, MIS, or related areas such as:
- Product reporting
- Financial reporting
- Risk reporting
- Management and executive reporting
