IT - Technical Business Analyst

This role is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and translating business requirements into technical specifications to support system development, integration, and improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

Requirement Analysis & Documentation

  • Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements from stakeholders
  • Translate business needs into clear functional and technical specifications
  • Create user stories, use cases, process flows, and data models
  • Ensure requirements are complete, feasible, and aligned with business objectives

Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with business users, product owners, developers, and QA teams
  • Facilitate workshops, meetings, and requirement clarification sessions
  • Act as a point of contact between business and IT teams

Technical Support & Solution Design

  • Work closely with development teams to design system solutions
  • Provide input on system architecture, integrations, and data flow
  • Support API specifications, system integration requirements, and database structures
  • Validate technical solutions against business requirements

Testing & Quality Assurance

  • Develop test scenarios, test cases, and acceptance criteria
  • Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and validate results
  • Ensure delivered solutions meet functional and technical requirements

Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation
  • Recommend system enhancements and improvements
  • Support digital transformation initiatives

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain detailed documentation of requirements, designs, and processes
  • Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations for stakeholders

Required Skills & Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field

Experience

  • 3–7 years of experience in Business Analysis or Technical Analysis
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Knowledge of APIs, databases (SQL), and system integrations
  • Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, or similar
  • Ability to read and understand technical architecture diagrams

Business & Analytical Skills

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking
  • Strong requirement gathering and documentation skills
  • Understanding of business processes and workflow optimization

Soft Skills

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
